How much does a translation cost?

The cost depends on the number of pages, words, the level of difficulty and the turnaround time. Click on the instant quote to get a rough estimate on the translation cost, or go to the official quotation for a formal quotation request. Alternatively, please feel free to contact us to get a quotation for more specific needs or requirements.

How long does it take for the translation?

The turnaround time or delivery time depends the number of pages, words and the level of difficulty of the document(s). We will deliver the translated file(s) according to customer’s request as much as we can.

What is the formatting cost?

This cost refers to extra work to deliver the translated file in a format that is as close as to the original file as possible. This task also includes converting a PDF file to a Word file format, rewriting corrupted text and writing out text embedded in an image or non-editable text.

Is it possible to request only document editing or proofreading by a native?

Of course, this option is also available. Please feel free to contact us.

Do we need to pay extra for questions and requests after the translation is complete and has been delivered?

In theory, there is no extra charge for questions or requests about the translation after being submitted. Our total cost includes customer support for feedback or inquiries from the client. However, if there are excessive requests for re-translation, which is not related to quality issues, then we may need to charge on an hourly basis. However, we would discuss this with the client beforehand if this situation arises.

Is there an extra cost for urgent requests or translations?

We generally do not charge extra for urgent requests. However, there may be an extra charge to cover overtime hours if the translator is obligated to work more than 8 hours in one day to meet the urgent deadline. In the event that an extra cost applies, this fee will be discussed with the client beforehand.

Is there a minimum charge for small translation requests?

Yes, we have a minimum charge of 5000 yen.

What languages does your translation service cover?

We primarily work with the language combination: Japanese and English. However, we do provide support for other language combinations. Please contact us for further information.

We primarily work with the language combination: Japanese and English. However, we do provide support for other language combinations. Please contact us for further information.

How much does interpretation cost?

The cost generally depends on the area, industry and level of difficulty. We charge based on a day or half-day rate. Please note that there is a minimum cost for interpretation, i.e. 4 hours or a half-day. For requests with specific requirements or circumstances, please contact for further information.
